A.B. Butler’s Dogtrot at Triple Creek is an authentic 1800’s log cabin, redesigned as a romantic Fredericksburg, Texas bed and breakfast rental in the heart of the Hill Country. Offering a quiet, secluded respite, the historic cabin is situated on acreage populated with live oaks, deer and a running creek, five minutes from historic Main Street Fredericksburg shopping district.

The 200-year-old log cabin offers antiques, designer fabrics, and modern amenities to its Fredericksburg bed-and-breakfast guests.​​
A Kentucky two-story cabin built in the 1800's at Cloyd’s Landing on the Cumberland River just north of the Tennessee border; it was used as a hospital during the Civil War. A.B. Butler and his wife reared eight children this cabin. The cabin was occupied until 1994. It was purchased in the fall of 1997, disassembled, and brought to Fredericksburg, Texas, where it was reconstructed in the winter of 1997 and the spring of 1998. Following seven months of reconstruction A.B. Butler’s Dogtrot at Triple Creek opened as a Fredericksburg, Texas bed and breakfast. The log cabin is located on beautiful Texas Hill country acreage covered with oak trees. There are two fully furnished suites available for guests. The quiet log cabin rental provides a welcome respite for the Texas Hill country traveler.

A.B. Butler’s Dogtrot inn has been inspected and was given an outstanding quality certification by Historic Accommodations of Texas for 10 consecutive years of its existence as a Fredericksburg bed and breakfast.
